Headteacher's Welcome

Croeso i Ysgol Gymunedol Neyland Community School, a vibrant, thriving school with high expectations and the children at the heart of all we do.

We value each child as an individual and encourage and inspire all our children to reach their full potential. We work together to ensure our children are happy, motivated and enjoy their learning by providing a wide range of experiences. We value the partnership we have with our parents/carers and school community as we believe this is crucial to enable us to support the children in achieving and reaching their full potential.

We are passionate about providing rich learning experiences and value the use of the outdoors and the community we live in while working in partnership with our successful cluster of schools. Our children will regularly explore our environment and there will be weekly learning activities outside, whatever the weather!

Our school motto, "Dream Big, Work Hard" which was created and voted on by the children, aims to inspire our children and give them the confidence to achieve and have high expectations of themselves.

At Neyland Community Primary School,  we are a Trauma Informed Accredited School. You can find out more by clicking this link; https://www.trauma-informed.uk/neyland-community-primary-school-john-street-milford-haven

We have created a culture of warmth, safety and strong relationships where every child feels psychologically safe and valued.

Our staff are trained to be emotionally available adults, ensuring children always have someone they can trust, talk to and learn from. Through consistent, PACEful relationships and evidence-based interventions, we support children to move from blocked trust to trust, helping them flourish both emotionally and academically.

Children at Neyland feel happy, safe and supported - and as a result, they dream big, work hard and thrive.

We are a family school and we see our pupils, parents, carers, governors and the wider community as key members of that family. As Headteacher, I am always happy to meet with parents to discuss any queries that you may have with any aspect of school life. Please just telephone the school to arrange an appointment.

We hope you enjoy looking through our website and this gives you a flavour of life at Neyland Community School.

With very best wishes
