Our Year 6 Prefects

Our Year 6 Prefects play a very important part of life at Neyland Community School. They support the staff in being role-models for all other pupils in school – they promote and uphold our culture and serve as role-models by being polite, friendly and helpful. They embody the ethos of us being a caring school and promote an ethos of positivity and wellbeing.

Our Prefects set the tone for good learning behaviours and show that they are ready, safe and respectful at all times.

Here are some of the roles they take on;

They support on the Walking Bus each day by helping take care of our younger learners and chatting with them on their way to school.

We have Health and Safety experts who support classes to carry out checks in their outdoor area to ensure they are safe and ready to use each day.

Our Prefects have also organised a school 'borrowing rail' and regularly remind our children they can borrow uniform, coats and shoes/boots if needed. This extends to Christmas jumpers and outfits in December.
