Science and Technology

In an ever-changing world where advances in technology and scientific breakthroughs are abundant, we aim to foster the skills required to ensure our learners become positive contributors and innovators. Through our teaching of science and technology, we aim to equip them with the skills to be successful in their future society.

At Neyland Community School children of all ages will have a range of opportunities to use a variety of technological platforms and programmes to develop their understanding of the digital world.

We believe that all children should be given opportunities to increase their knowledge of scientific understanding, whilst developing their technological and inquisitive minds. This is achieved through STEM investigations, large and small scale, which incorporate a range of learning styles linked to the various scientific strands in our Primary Knowledge Curriculum Cymru units. These learning opportunities engage the children and allow for creativity and deeper level thinking. The PKC units of learning ensure a wide range of knowledge is covered across all disciplines of science.
