The Harbwr - Physical
Physical development, sensory regulation and wellbeing are key parts of daily life in The Harbwr. Many children benefit from regular movement and sensory activities to help them feel calm, focused and ready to learn.
Physical and sensory support includes:
- Sensory-based activities and regulation strategies to support attention and emotional wellbeing
- Fine motor activities to develop hand strength and coordination
- Gross motor opportunities to build balance, confidence and physical skills
- Access to mainstream physical education and outdoor activities where appropriate, with the right support in place
These experiences help children develop body awareness, confidence and healthy habits, supporting both learning and overall wellbeing. This is also supported through our sensory room, which encourage sensory exploration in a calming environment.
